For the first time in
India, IFE has introduced a new technique for the dry roasting of
nuts - roasting of nuts without added oil, fat or preservatives -
the resultant product being a much sought after delicacy by
connoisseurs and health-conscious alike. And again, for the first
time in India, nuts are available in an array of seven tempting
flavours : Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Chilli, Honey, Sugar, and
Chocolate. Chilli - lime will be introduced shortly.
The
absence of oil and other chemicals in the product gives the nuts a
distinctive and unique flavour that has received rave reviews from
Food Fairs as varied as SIAL (Paris) and FOODEX (Japan). DRY -
ROASTED NUTS are hygienically packed in vacuumised, nitrogen flushed
foil packs (100g & 200g) that will preserve freshness for a
minimum of 12 months. Dry Roasted Flavoured Nuts are presently
available as Cashews, and Almonds, Peanuts & Pistachios are
being introduced shortly. |

Cashew
Nut Shell Liquid, a by-product of the cashew processing industry, is
an effective and economical substitute for scarce and expensive
petrochemicals as industrial raw material for varied applications.
It is used in the manufacture of such products as friction lining
materials, surface coatings, lacquer, insulating varnishes, cement,
composite wood, foundry chemicals, etc. Compared to polymers from
petrochemical based phenols, CNSL based polymers have many
advantages including resistance to high heat, termites, etc.
